About myself
Professional Activities:
From 2010 to present - Professor at the Institute of Psychology, Vilnius University. Since 1993, she has been working at VU, conducting research on the effectiveness of psychotherapy, on the development of the concept of the relational system, the role of culture in psychotherapy, etc.
From 2000 to the present – has private psychotherapeutic practice, seminars and supervision in LAAP Analyst Training program at the Centre for Practical Psychology Studies.
From 1997 to the present - conducting analytical psychology seminars for working psychologists and psychotherapists from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Russia; Belarus in Vilnius. Lectures and seminars at Tallinn Centre for Practical Psychology, Zurich International Institute for Analytical Psychology, Estonian-Finnish Joint Training Programme for Analysts etc..
1983-1997 she has been working at the Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre of the Vilnius Psychiatric Hospital, where she was the head of the Centre.
Studies:
Vilnius University - 2009 - habilitation procedure, "Personality change: conditioning processes and assessment." 1993 - defended doctoral dissertation; 1983 - graduated from Vilnius University, clinical psychology.
1994-2001 - studied analytical psychology at Chicago C.G. In 2001 she became an internationally recognized Jungian psychoanalyst and an individual member of IAAP.
1990 - 1994 Gestalt therapy programme (Greanstad, Norway).
Publications:
She has written dozens of articles on various issues of analytical psychology and several books, including "Personality Transformation in Dreams, Fairy Tales, Myths (2001)", "Introduction to Analytical Psychology (1996,2002)", "Clinical Psychological Assessment: tasks and principles of assessment" (2007), "Relationship to Authority and Sense of Personal Power (2016). He has edited the collective monographs 'Relationship and Change: Deep Assumptions of Interpersonal Relationships and Psychotherapy' (2008), 'Effectiveness of Psychotherapy: Therapeutic Factors and Subjectively Experienced Change' (2014), and, together with M. Stein, 'Confronting Cultural Trauma: Jungian Approaches to Understanding and Healing' (2014), and 'Exploring Core Competencies in Jungian Psychoanalysis: Research, Practise and Training' (2023) ( together with T. Kelly.
Membership
Since 2007 she is member of LAAP, was president of LAAP from 2008- till 2017.
Since 2016 she is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), since 2022 she is the Vice President of the IAAP, Chair of the Academic Committee, co-chair of the Professional Training Research Group, and Regional organizer for the Eastern European Routers program.
She has presented papers at various international conferences in Chicago, Yale University, Florence, Zurich; Copenhagen, Prague, Rome, etc. She was a member of the program committees of the European conferences in Vilnius (2009), St. Petersburg (2012), Berlin ( 2021) Trieste ( 2015), the World Congress in Kyoto (2016), Zurich (2025).
