About myself
I am Lina Kaminskaite, a social work graduate from Mykolas Romeris University in 2007, and a certified psychotherapist from the Centre of Practical Psychology Studies since 2018. I began providing counseling in 2005 at the emotional support service "Youth Line," where I volunteered for eight years. During this time, I also served on the team of volunteer course supervisors, training new volunteers. This experience was invaluable in dealing with crises and suicides.
During my university studies, I completed practice at Vilnius University's Hospital Santaros Klinikos, specifically in the children's oncohematology clinic, where I researched children's understanding of death. I furthered my knowledge in this field at the University of Tampere in Finland, gaining insight into the Finnish hospital system's approach to supporting children and their families confronting oncological diseases.
I began my psychotherapy studies in 2012. Since then, I have accumulated ten years of consulting practice, which I continue to this day. In my life, I integrate my consulting practice and work in business organizations.
I work individually with people seeking answers to various life questions and choices or navigating crisis situations. I offer advice in Lithuanian and English, both in person and online. Additionally, I have experience working with LGBTQ issues.
