Elona Lovčikienė

I provide live and online counselling in my private practice and teach in the training programme of the Lithuanian Association for Analytical Psychology (LAAP) as well as in the Psychological Academy. I supervise psychologists and psychotherapists both individually and in groups. I am liaison person of the International Association of Analytical Psychology for the Slovak Association of Analytical Psychology.

In the past I have worked with people having severe mental disorders in the Republican Vilnius Psychiatric Hospital and in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre. Later I have worked in several organisations with staff selection and training in public speaking, conflict and stress management. For many years I have been facilitating dream analysis groups. I was actively involved in the founding of LAAP, and was a visiting Jungian analyst for the Association of Analytical Psychology of Georgia. I was involved in the activities of the Institute of Indigenous Culture.

I have been interested for many years in deep psychic processes and cultural and archetypal imagery. I have written several articles and presented papers at conferences. The most important of them are about healing dream symbols, the appearance of the dead in dreams and dreams of famous Lithuanian personalities and Lithuanian partisans. As a coordinator of public lectures of LAAP, I have myself lectured to the public on various topics in analytical psychology. These include treatment of depression, overcoming self-destruction, archetypes of masculinity and femininity, synchronicity, and the relationship with the Self.
